How To Install dgit on Fedora 34

dgit is Integration between git and Debian-style archives

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install dgit on Fedora 34.

What is dgit

dgit (with the associated infrastructure) makes it possible to treat the Debian archive as a git repository “dgit push” constructs uploads from git commits “dgit clone” and “dgit fetch” construct git commits from uploads.

We can use yum or dnf to install dgit on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install dgit.

Install dgit on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install dgit using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install dgit

How To Uninstall dgit on Fedora 34
