What is ccls

ccls, which originates from cquery, is a C/C++/Objective-C language server. - code completion (with both signature help and snippets) - definition/references, and other cross references - cross reference extensions $ccls/vars … - formatting - hierarchies hierarchy, member hierarchy - symbol rename - document symbols and approximate search of workspace symbol - hover information - diagnostics and code actions (clang FixIts) - semantic highlighting and preprocessor skipped regions - semantic navigation

We can use yum or dnf to install ccls on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install ccls.

Install ccls on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install ccls using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install ccls

How To Uninstall ccls on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the ccls package we can use the following command:
