How To Install apiguardian on Fedora 34

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install apiguardian on Fedora 34.

What is apiguardian

API Guardian indicates the status of an API element and therefore its level of stability as well. It is used to annotate public types, methods, constructors, and fields within a framework or application in order to publish their API status and level of stability and to indicate how they are intended to be used by consumers of the API.

We can use yum or dnf to install apiguardian on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install apiguardian.

Install apiguardian on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install apiguardian using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install apiguardian

Install apiguardian on Fedora 34 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

How To Uninstall apiguardian on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the apiguardian package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove apiguardian
