How To Install aopalliance on Fedora 34

aopalliance is Java/J2EE AOP standards

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install aopalliance on Fedora 34.

What is aopalliance

Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) offers a better solution to many problems than do existing technologies, such as EJB. AOP Alliance intends to facilitate and standardize the use of AOP to enhance existing middleware environments (such as J2EE), or development environements (e.g. Eclipse). The AOP Alliance also aims to ensure interoperability between Java/J2EE AOP implementations to build a larger AOP community.

We can use yum or dnf to install aopalliance on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install aopalliance.

Install aopalliance on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install aopalliance using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install aopalliance

Install aopalliance on Fedora 34 Using yum

How To Uninstall aopalliance on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the aopalliance package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove aopalliance
