Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install 7kaa on Fedora 34.

What is 7kaa

Seven Kingdoms is a real-time strategy (RTS) computer game developed by Trevor Chan of Enlight Software. The game enables players to compete against up to six other kingdoms allowing players to conquer opponents by defeating them in war (with troops or machines), capturing their buildings with spies, or offering opponents money for their kingdom. Seven Kingdoms Interactive Magic and added three new cultures, the Egyptians, the Mughals and the Zulus, and a new war machine, Unicorn. Due to licensing, in-game music needs to be downloaded separately. Place the music files in /usr/share/7kaa/music.

We can use yum or dnf to install 7kaa on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install 7kaa.

Install 7kaa on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install 7kaa using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install 7kaa

Install 7kaa on Fedora 34 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.
