In this tutorial we learn how to install 64tass on Fedora 34.

What is 64tass

64tass is a multi-pass optimizing macro assembler for the 65xx series of processors. It supports the 6502, 65C02, R65C02, W65C02, 65CE02, 65816, DTV, and 65EL02, using a syntax similar to that of Omicron TASS and TASM.

We can use yum or dnf to install 64tass on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install 64tass.

Install 64tass on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install 64tass using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install 64tass

Install 64tass on Fedora 34 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.
