How To Install lakai on Debian 10
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install lakai on Debian 10.
What is lakai
lakai is:
Lakai is a small set of tools (+ a link library) used to transfer sampler data (programs, samples) between a PC with a SCSI host adapter and an AKAI sampler (S1000, S2000..).
The current tools allow an easy way to create a full backup of the sampler’s memory contents to the PC and a full restore of this data back from the PC to the sampler.
Future versions might contain more fine-grained control over the data you exchange, but this is still in planning stage.
There are three methods to install lakai on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install lakai Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install lakai using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install lakai
Install lakai Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install lakai using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install lakai
Install lakai Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install lakai using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install lakai
How To Uninstall lakai on Debian 10
To uninstall only the lakai package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove lakai
Uninstall lakai And Its Dependencies
To uninstall lakai and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove lakai
Remove lakai Configurations and Data
To remove lakai configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge lakai
