Open-iSCSI is a high-performance, transport independent, multi-platform implementation of the RFC3720 Internet Small Computer Systems Interface (iSCSI).

This package contains the userspace offloading daemon, for use with QLogic (formerly Broadcom) NetXtreme II hardware, as supported by the ‘bnx2’ and ‘bnx2x’ drivers, in conjunction with the ‘bnx2i’ driver.

The following network controllers are supported: bnx2: BCM5706, BCM5708, BCM5709 devices bnx2x: BCM57710, BCM57711, BCM57711E, BCM57712, BCM57712E, BCM57800, BCM57810, BCM57840

This package is required to offload iSCSI onto these devices.
