How To Install hasciicam on Debian 10

Hasciicam makes it possible to have live ASCII video on the web. It captures video from a tv card and renders it into ascii, formatting the output into an html page with a refresh tag or in a live ASCII window or in a simple text file as well, giving the possibility to anybody that has a bttv card, a Linux box and a cheap modem line to show a live ASCII video feed that can be browsable without any need for plugin, java etc.
There are three methods to install hasciicam on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install hasciicam Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install hasciicam using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install hasciicam

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install hasciicam using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install hasciicam
Install hasciicam Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
