How To Install dreamchess on Debian 10
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install dreamchess on Debian 10.
What is dreamchess
dreamchess is:
DreamChess features 3D OpenGL graphics and provides various chess board sets, ranging from classic wooden to flat.
A moderately strong chess engine is included: Dreamer. However, should this engine be too weak for you, then you can use any other XBoard-compatible chess engine, including the popular Crafty and GNU Chess.
Other features include on-screen move lists using SAN notation, undo functionality, and savegames in PGN format.
There are three methods to install dreamchess on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install dreamchess Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install dreamchess using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install dreamchess

To uninstall only the dreamchess package we can use the following command:

To remove dreamchess configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
