How To Install yersinia on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install yersinia on CentOS 8.
What is yersinia
Yersinia is a network tool designed to take advantage of some weakeness in different network protocols. It pretends to be a solid framework for analyzing and testing the deployed networks and systems. Currently, there are some network protocols implemented, but others are coming (tell us which one is your preferred). Attacks for the following network protocols are implemented (but of course you are free for implementing new ones) * Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) * Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) * Dynamic Trunking Protocol (DTP) * Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) * Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) * IEEE 802.1Q and IEEE 802.1X * Inter-Switch Link Protocol (ISL) * VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP)
We can use yum or dnf to install yersinia on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install yersinia.
Install yersinia on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install yersinia using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install yersinia
Install yersinia on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.

How To Uninstall yersinia on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the yersinia package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove yersinia
