How To Install xcb-util-wm on CentOS 8

What is xcb-util-wm
XCB util-wm module provides the following libraries - ewmh - icccm xcb-util-wm 0.4.1 12.el8 x86_64 32 k xcb-util-wm-0.4.1-12.el8.src.rpm appstream Client and window-manager helper library on top of libxcb http MIT XCB util-wm module provides the following libraries - ewmh - icccm
We can use yum or dnf to install xcb-util-wm on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install xcb-util-wm.
Install xcb-util-wm on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install xcb-util-wm using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install xcb-util-wm
Install xcb-util-wm on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.

After updating yum database, We can install xcb-util-wm using yum by running the following command:

How To Uninstall xcb-util-wm on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the xcb-util-wm package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove xcb-util-wm
