How To Install wcstools on CentOS 8
wcstools is Software utilities to display and manipulate the WCS of a FITS image
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install wcstools on CentOS 8.
What is wcstools
Wcstools is a set of software utilities, written in C, which create, display and manipulate the world coordinate system of a FITS or IRAF image, using specific keywords in the image header which relate pixel position within the image to position on the sky. Auxiliary programs search star catalogs and manipulate images.
We can use yum or dnf to install wcstools on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install wcstools.
Install wcstools on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install wcstools using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install wcstools
Install wcstools on CentOS 8 Using yum
