w3m-img is Helper program to display the inline images for w3m

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install w3m-img on CentOS 8.

What is w3m-img

w3m-img package provides a helper program for w3m to display the inline images on the terminal emulator in X Window System environments and the linux framebuffer.

We can use yum or dnf to install w3m-img on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install w3m-img.

Install w3m-img on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install w3m-img using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install w3m-img

How To Uninstall w3m-img on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the w3m-img package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove w3m-img
