How To Install uriparser on CentOS 8

uriparser is URI parsing library - RFC 3986

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install uriparser on CentOS 8.

What is uriparser

Uriparser is a strictly RFC 3986 compliant URI parsing library written in C. uriparser is cross-platform, fast, supports Unicode and is licensed under the New BSD license.

We can use yum or dnf to install uriparser on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install uriparser.

Install uriparser on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install uriparser using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install uriparser

Install uriparser on CentOS 8 Using yum

How To Uninstall uriparser on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the uriparser package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove uriparser
