How To Install unicode-ucd on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install unicode-ucd
on CentOS 8.
What is unicode-ucd
The Unicode Character Database (UCD) consists of a number of data files listing Unicode character properties and related data. It also includes data files containing test data for conformance to several important Unicode algorithms.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install unicode-ucd
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install unicode-ucd.
Install unicode-ucd on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install unicode-ucd
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install unicode-ucd
Install unicode-ucd on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh

How To Uninstall unicode-ucd on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the unicode-ucd
package we can use the following command:
