In this tutorial we learn how to install unibilium on CentOS 8.

What is unibilium

Unibilium is a very basic terminfo library. It doesn’t depend on curses or any other library. It also doesn’t use global variables, so it should be thread-safe.

We can use yum or dnf to install unibilium on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install unibilium.

Install unibilium on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install unibilium using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install unibilium

How To Uninstall unibilium on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the unibilium package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove unibilium
