How To Install tuned-profiles-compat on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install tuned-profiles-compat on CentOS 8.
What is tuned-profiles-compat
Additional tuned profiles mainly for backward compatibility with tuned 1.0. It can be also used to fine tune your system for specific scenarios.
We can use yum or dnf to install tuned-profiles-compat on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install tuned-profiles-compat.
Install tuned-profiles-compat on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install tuned-profiles-compat using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install tuned-profiles-compat
Install tuned-profiles-compat on CentOS 8 Using yum

How To Uninstall tuned-profiles-compat on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the tuned-profiles-compat package we can use the following command:
