How To Install tumbler-extras on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install tumbler-extras on CentOS 8.
What is tumbler-extras
This package contains additional thumbnailers for file types, which are not used very much and require additional libraries to be installed.
We can use yum or dnf to install tumbler-extras on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install tumbler-extras.
Install tumbler-extras on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

Metadata cache created.
After updating yum database, We can install tumbler-extras using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install tumbler-extras
Install tumbler-extras on CentOS 8 Using yum

How To Uninstall tumbler-extras on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the tumbler-extras package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove tumbler-extras

/usr/lib/.build-id
/usr/lib/.build-id/e5/4490fae152288ee46f26e2ca62a2f027f32dec
/usr/lib64/tumbler-1/plugins/tumbler-gst-thumbnailer.so
