In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-zapfding on CentOS 8.

What is texlive-zapfding

A set of fonts for use as “drop-in” replacements for Adobe’s basic set, comprising Adobe’s New Century Schoolbook); - Dingbats (substituting for Adobe’s Zapf Dingbats); - Nimbus Mono L (substituting for Abobe’s Courier); - Nimbus Roman No9 L (substituting for Adobe’s Times); - Nimbus Sans L (substituting for Adobe’s Helvetica); - Standard Symbols L (substituting for Adobe’s Symbol); - URW Bookman; - URW Chancery L Medium Italic (substituting for Adobe’s Zapf Chancery); - URW Gothic L Book (substituting for Adobe’s Avant Garde); and - URW Palladio L (substituting for Adobe’s Palatino).

We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-zapfding on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-zapfding.

Install texlive-zapfding on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install texlive-zapfding using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install texlive-zapfding

How To Uninstall texlive-zapfding on CentOS 8
