Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-soul on CentOS 8.

What is texlive-soul

Provides hyphenatable spacing out (letterspacing), underlining, striking out, etc., using the TeX hyphenation algorithm to find the proper hyphens automatically. The package also provides a mechanism that can be used to implement similar tasks, that have to treat text syllable by syllable. This is shown in two examples. The package itself does not support UTF-8 input in ordinary (PDF)LaTeX; some UTF-8 support is offered by package soulutf8

We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-soul on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-soul.

Install texlive-soul on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install texlive-soul using dnf by running the following command:

How To Uninstall texlive-soul on CentOS 8
