Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-overpic on CentOS 8.

What is texlive-overpic

The overpic environment is a cross between the LaTeX picture environment and the \includegraphics command of graphicx. The resulting picture environment has the same dimensions as the included eps graphic. LaTeX commands can be placed on the graphic at defined positions. A grid for orientation is available.

We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-overpic on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-overpic.

Install texlive-overpic on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install texlive-overpic using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install texlive-overpic

How To Uninstall texlive-overpic on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the texlive-overpic package we can use the following command:
