Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-ocgx2 on CentOS 8.

What is texlive-ocgx2

This package serves as a drop-in replacement for the packages ocgx by Paul Gaborit and ocg-p by Werner Moshammer for the creation of PDF Layers. It re-implements the functionality of the ocg, ocgx, and ocg-p packages and adds support for all known engines and back-ends including ps2pdf/Distiller (Xe)LaTeX(x) - dvipdfmx pdfLaTeX and LuaLaTeX . It also ensures compatibility with the media9 and animate packages.

We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-ocgx2 on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-ocgx2.

Install texlive-ocgx2 on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh
