How To Install texlive-environ on CentOS 8

texlive-environ is A new interface for environments in LaTeX

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-environ on CentOS 8.

What is texlive-environ

The package provides the \collect@body command (as in amsmath), as well as a \long version \Collect@Body, for collecting the body text of an environment. These commands are used to define a new author interface to creating new environments. For example square brackets, doing the right thing in ignoring leading and trailing spaces.

We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-environ on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-environ.

Install texlive-environ on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install texlive-environ using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install texlive-environ

How To Uninstall texlive-environ on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the texlive-environ package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove texlive-environ
