How To Install texlive-classpack on CentOS 8

In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-classpack on CentOS 8.

What is texlive-classpack

The package provides an experiment in using XML (specifically DocBook 5) to mark up and maintain LaTeX classes and packages. XSLT 2 styleheets generate the .dtx and .ins distribution files expected by end users.

We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-classpack on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-classpack.

Install texlive-classpack on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install texlive-classpack using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install texlive-classpack

How To Uninstall texlive-classpack on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the texlive-classpack package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove texlive-classpack
