How To Install texlive-appendix on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-appendix
on CentOS 8.
What is texlive-appendix
The appendix package provides various ways of formatting the titles of appendices. Also (sub)appendices environments are provided that can be used, for example, for per chapter/section appendices. The word
Appendix' or similar can be prepended to the appendix number for article class documents. The word
Appendices’ or similar can be added to the table of contents before the appendices are listed. The word `Appendices’ or similar can be typeset as a \part-like heading (page) in the body. An appendices environment is provided which can be used instead of the \appendix command.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install texlive-appendix
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-appendix.
Install texlive-appendix on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install texlive-appendix
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-appendix
Install texlive-appendix on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.

How To Uninstall texlive-appendix on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the texlive-appendix
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-appendix
