What is systemtap-runtime-java
This package includes support files needed to run systemtap scripts that probe Java processes running on the OpenJDK runtimes using Byteman.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install systemtap-runtime-java
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install systemtap-runtime-java.
Install systemtap-runtime-java on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install systemtap-runtime-java
using dnf
by running the following command:

How To Uninstall systemtap-runtime-java on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the systemtap-runtime-java
