How To Install SuperLUMT64 on CentOS 8

SuperLUMT64 is Single precision real SuperLU routines (64bit INTEGER)

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install SuperLUMT64 on CentOS 8.

What is SuperLUMT64

Subroutines to solve sparse linear systems for shared memory parallel machines (64bit INTEGER). SuperLU contains a set of subroutines to solve a sparse linear system A*X=B. It uses Gaussian elimination with partial pivoting (GEPP). The columns of A may be preordered before factorization; the preordering for sparsity is completely separate from the factorization.

We can use yum or dnf to install SuperLUMT64 on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install SuperLUMT64.

Install SuperLUMT64 on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install SuperLUMT64 using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install SuperLUMT64

How To Uninstall SuperLUMT64 on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the SuperLUMT64 package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove SuperLUMT64
