Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install stoken-gui on CentOS 8.

What is stoken-gui

Software Token for Linux/UNIX. It’s a token code generator compatible with RSA SecurID 128-bit (AES) tokens. It is a hobbyist project, not affiliated with or endorsed by RSA Security. This package contains the graphical interface program for stoken.

We can use yum or dnf to install stoken-gui on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install stoken-gui.

Install stoken-gui on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install stoken-gui using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install stoken-gui

Install stoken-gui on CentOS 8 Using yum

After updating yum database, We can install stoken-gui using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install stoken-gui

How To Uninstall stoken-gui on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the stoken-gui package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove stoken-gui
