How To Install sssd-krb5-common on CentOS 8

Provides helper processes that the LDAP and Kerberos back ends can use for Kerberos user or host authentication.

We can use yum or dnf to install sssd-krb5-common on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install sssd-krb5-common.

Install sssd-krb5-common on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install sssd-krb5-common using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install sssd-krb5-common

How To Uninstall sssd-krb5-common on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the sssd-krb5-common package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove sssd-krb5-common
