Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install sshexport on CentOS 8.

What is sshexport

This script tries to export SSH public keys to specified sites. It will walk the user through generating key pairs if it doesn’t find any to export. It handles all the fiddly details, like remembering the SSH key file names, updating the authorized_keys and making sure local and remote permissions are correct. It tells you what it’s doing if it has to change anything.

We can use yum or dnf to install sshexport on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install sshexport.

Install sshexport on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install sshexport using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install sshexport

How To Uninstall sshexport on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the sshexport package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove sshexport
