How To Install spice-gtk3 on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install spice-gtk3
on CentOS 8.
What is spice-gtk3
spice-client-glib-3.0 is a SPICE client library for Gtk3. spice-gtk3 0.38 6.el8 x86_64 76 k spice-gtk-0.38-6.el8.src.rpm appstream A GTK3 widget for SPICE clients http LGPLv2+ spice-client-glib-3.0 is a SPICE client library for Gtk3.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install spice-gtk3
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install spice-gtk3.
Install spice-gtk3 on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install spice-gtk3
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install spice-gtk3

How To Uninstall spice-gtk3 on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the spice-gtk3
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove spice-gtk3
