What is soci-mysql-devel
This package contains the MySQL back-end for soci, i.e., header files and dynamic libraries specific to the MySQL database. If you would like to develop programs using soci and MySQL, you will need to install soci-mysql.
We can use yum or dnf to install soci-mysql-devel on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install soci-mysql-devel.
Install soci-mysql-devel on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install soci-mysql-devel using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install soci-mysql-devel

How To Uninstall soci-mysql-devel on CentOS 8
