In this tutorial we learn how to install snappy on CentOS 8.

What is snappy

Snappy is a compression/decompression library. It does not aim for maximum compression, or compatibility with any other compression library; instead, it aims for very high speeds and reasonable compression. Install snappy on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install snappy using dnf by running the following command:

How To Uninstall snappy on CentOS 8
