How To Install slurm-rrdtool on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install slurm-rrdtool
on CentOS 8.
What is slurm-rrdtool
Slurm external sensor plugin for rrdtool. This package is separated from the base plugins package due to gui dependencies which are unneeded if not using this plugin.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install slurm-rrdtool
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install slurm-rrdtool.
Install slurm-rrdtool on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install slurm-rrdtool
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install slurm-rrdtool

How To Uninstall slurm-rrdtool on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the slurm-rrdtool
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove slurm-rrdtool
