Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install slurm-pam_slurm on CentOS 8.

What is slurm-pam_slurm

This module restricts access to compute nodes in a cluster where Slurm is in use. Access is granted to root, any user with a Slurm-launched job currently running on the node, or any user who has allocated resources on the node according to Slurm.

We can use yum or dnf to install slurm-pam_slurm on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install slurm-pam_slurm.
