How To Install sevmgr on CentOS 8

sevmgr is C++ Simulation-Oriented Discrete Event Management Library

In this tutorial we learn how to install sevmgr on CentOS 8.

What is sevmgr

sevmgr is a C++ library of discrete event queue management classes and functions, exclusively targeting simulation purposes. sevmgr makes an extensive use of existing open-source libraries for increased functionality, speed and accuracy. In particular the Boost (C++ Standard Extensions Install the sevmgr package if you need a library of basic C++ objects for the discrete event queue management of your simulation project.

We can use yum or dnf to install sevmgr on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install sevmgr.

Install sevmgr on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install sevmgr using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install sevmgr

How To Uninstall sevmgr on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the sevmgr package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove sevmgr
