How To Install sddm on CentOS 8

Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install sddm on CentOS 8.
What is sddm
SDDM is a modern display manager for X11 aiming to be fast, simple and beautiful. It uses modern technologies like QtQuick, which in turn gives the designer the ability to create smooth, animated user interfaces.
We can use yum or dnf to install sddm on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install sddm.
Install sddm on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:
