What is screenkey

A screencast tool to display your keys, featuring * Several keyboard translation methods * Key composition/input method support * Configurable font/size/position * Highlighting of recent keystrokes * Improved backspace processing * Normal/Emacs/Mac caps modes * Multi-monitor support * Dynamic recording control etc.

We can use yum or dnf to install screenkey on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install screenkey.

Install screenkey on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install screenkey using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install screenkey

How To Uninstall screenkey on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the screenkey package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove screenkey
