How To Install sane-backends-libs on CentOS 8

on CentOS 8.
What is sane-backends-libs
This package contains the SANE libraries which are needed by applications that want to access scanners. sane-backends-libs 1.0.27 22.el8 x86_64 109 k sane-backends-1.0.27-22.el8.src.rpm appstream SANE libraries http GPLv2+ and GPLv2+ with exceptions and Public Domain and IJG and LGPLv2+ and MIT This package contains the SANE libraries which are needed by applications that want to access scanners.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install sane-backends-libs
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install sane-backends-libs.
Install sane-backends-libs on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install sane-backends-libs
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install sane-backends-libs

How To Uninstall sane-backends-libs on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the sane-backends-libs
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove sane-backends-libs
