What is rpm-plugin-prioreset
Rpm plugin for resetting scriptlet priorities for SysV init Useful on legacy SysV init systems if you run rpm transactions with nice/ionice priorities. Should not be used on systemd systems.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install rpm-plugin-prioreset
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install rpm-plugin-prioreset.
Install rpm-plugin-prioreset on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install rpm-plugin-prioreset
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install rpm-plugin-prioreset

How To Uninstall rpm-plugin-prioreset on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the rpm-plugin-prioreset
