How To Install rpm-git-tag-sort on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install rpm-git-tag-sort
on CentOS 8.
What is rpm-git-tag-sort
Sorts git annotated tags of Name-Version-Release form according to topology (primary criterion) and rpm version sorting (secondary criterion). Outputs only merged tags (i.e. those that reachable from the current HEAD).
We can use yum
or dnf
to install rpm-git-tag-sort
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install rpm-git-tag-sort.
Install rpm-git-tag-sort on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install rpm-git-tag-sort
using dnf
by running the following command:

How To Uninstall rpm-git-tag-sort on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the rpm-git-tag-sort
