How To Install root-net-davix on CentOS 8

root-net-davix is Davix extension for ROOT

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install root-net-davix on CentOS 8.

What is root-net-davix

This package contains the davix extension for ROOT, that provides access to http based storage such as webdav and S3.

We can use yum or dnf to install root-net-davix on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install root-net-davix.

Install root-net-davix on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install root-net-davix using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install root-net-davix

How To Uninstall root-net-davix on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the root-net-davix package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove root-net-davix
