How To Install rhn-setup-gnome on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install rhn-setup-gnome
on CentOS 8.
What is rhn-setup-gnome
rhn-setup-gnome contains a GTK+ graphical interface for configuring and registering a system with a Red Hat Satellite or Spacewalk server.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install rhn-setup-gnome
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install rhn-setup-gnome.
Install rhn-setup-gnome on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install rhn-setup-gnome
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install rhn-setup-gnome

How To Uninstall rhn-setup-gnome on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the rhn-setup-gnome
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove rhn-setup-gnome
