How To Install re2c on CentOS 8
re2c is Tool for generating C-based recognizers from regular expressions
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install re2c on CentOS 8.
What is re2c
re2c is a tool for writing very fast and very flexible scanners. Unlike any other such tool, re2c focuses on generating high efficient code for regular expression matching. As a result this allows a much broader range of use than any traditional lexer offers. And Last but not least re2c generates warning free code that is equal to hand-written code in terms of size, speed and quality.
We can use yum or dnf to install re2c on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install re2c.
Install re2c on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

How To Uninstall re2c on CentOS 8
