How To Install re2-devel on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install re2-devel
on CentOS 8.
What is re2-devel
This package contains the C++ header files and symbolic links to the shared libraries for re2. If you would like to develop programs using re2, you will need to install re2-devel.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install re2-devel
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install re2-devel.
Install re2-devel on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install re2-devel
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install re2-devel
Install re2-devel on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.

How To Uninstall re2-devel on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the re2-devel
package we can use the following command:
