What is quantum-espresso-static
QUANTUM ESPRESSO is an integrated suite of Open-Source computer codes for electronic-structure calculations and materials modeling at the nanoscale. It is based on density-functional theory, plane waves, and pseudopotentials. This package contains static libraries.
We can use yum or dnf to install quantum-espresso-static on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install quantum-espresso-static.
Install quantum-espresso-static on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install quantum-espresso-static using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install quantum-espresso-static

How To Uninstall quantum-espresso-static on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the quantum-espresso-static package we can use the following command:
