What is python3-click

click is a Python package for creating beautiful command line interfaces in a composable way with as little amount of code as necessary. It’s the “Command Line Interface Creation Kit”. It’s highly configurable but comes with good defaults out of the box. Python 3 version.

We can use yum or dnf to install python3-click on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install python3-click.

Install python3-click on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install python3-click using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install python3-click

How To Uninstall python3-click on CentOS 8
