How To Install pugixml on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install pugixml
on CentOS 8.
What is pugixml
pugixml is a light-weight C++ XML processing library. It features - DOM-like interface with rich traversal/modification capabilities - Extremely fast non-validating XML parser which constructs the DOM tree from an XML file/buffer - XPath 1.0 implementation for complex data-driven tree queries - Full Unicode support with Unicode interface variants and automatic encoding conversions
We can use yum
or dnf
to install pugixml
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install pugixml.
Install pugixml on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install pugixml
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install pugixml
Install pugixml on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.

How To Uninstall pugixml on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the pugixml
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove pugixml
