How To Install perl-Exporter on CentOS 8

In this tutorial we learn how to install perl-Exporter on CentOS 8.

What is perl-Exporter

The Exporter module implements an import method which allows a module to export functions and variables to its users’ name spaces. Many modules use Exporter rather than implementing their own import method because Exporter provides a highly flexible interface, with an implementation optimized for the common case.

We can use yum or dnf to install perl-Exporter on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Exporter.

Install perl-Exporter on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install perl-Exporter using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install perl-Exporter

How To Uninstall perl-Exporter on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the perl-Exporter package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove perl-Exporter
